Who we are and how to contact us

Altitude organises curated, invitation-only events. This notice explains how Altitude handles personal information through this website and when discussing an event or partnership. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@cye.mt.

Information we receive

Depending on the form you use, we receive your name, email address, company, role, destination preference, enquiry topic, partnership interest and the message you provide. We also receive information you send during subsequent correspondence. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.

Security controls use limited technical information to reduce automated submissions. The website uses hashed rate-limit identifiers based on email and IP address. They stop being used for rate limiting after one hour; expired entries may remain in server storage until routine cleanup. Hashing does not necessarily make these identifiers anonymous. Hosting and email systems may also process technical logs needed to operate and secure their services.

Providing information and how decisions are made

The fields marked as required on each form are needed to identify and respond to your request. Optional fields can be left blank. If you do not provide the required details, the form cannot be submitted; you can still contact us by email. Submitting an enquiry is voluntary and does not create an event booking.

The website does not make automated admission decisions or profile applicants. Enquiries are reviewed by the Altitude team.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry information to answer you, consider a partnership, and manage your interest in the specific Altitude event or destination you have asked about. Where relevant, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering an agreement. We also rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, organising events and protecting our website, subject to your rights and interests.

Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a marketing list. We do not use these enquiries for general promotional campaigns. Registering interest is not confirmation of attendance.

Who may receive it

Information is available to authorised Altitude team members and service providers supporting website hosting, email and event administration, as needed for their work. We may share necessary attendance details with an event venue or delivery partner where this is needed to organise your attendance, and will provide further information when relevant. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell enquiry details.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records and related correspondence are retained while needed to respond, manage active discussions or organise the relevant event or partnership. After that, retention is assessed by reference to outstanding follow-up, any resulting agreement, applicable record-keeping duties and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. These criteria determine when records are deleted or anonymised. The website does not automatically delete enquiries when an event ends. You can ask us which records we hold and request deletion where the right applies.

Cookies, videos and international processing

Optional external videos are blocked until you allow external media. Playing a YouTube video connects your browser to Google/YouTube, which may process technical and usage information under its own privacy terms, including outside the European Economic Area. Our own hosted background film does not require external-media permission. Our Cookie Policy describes the preference stored by this website and how to change it.

The location of processing depends on the hosting, email and external-media services used. Where information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the applicable transfer arrangements may include an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, depending on the service and destination. Contact us for the arrangements and a copy of the safeguards relevant to your information.

Event photography

This website includes photographs and films from past Altitude events. Identifiable photographs can be personal information. For information about the photographer, intended uses or lawful basis for a particular event, or to raise a concern about an image already published, contact us and identify the event and relevant photograph or page. We will assess requests in light of your rights and the circumstances of the image. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent; where it relies on legitimate interests, you may object. Attendance does not itself grant unrestricted permission to use your image.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully carried out. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month. If a permitted extension is necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain it within that first month.

Contact info@cye.mt to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta or the supervisory authority where you live or work in the EU.

Our Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube footer links open the relevant external platform. The icons are served by this website; displaying them does not load a social-media widget. If you follow a link, the platform processes your visit under its own privacy terms.

Updates to this notice

We may revise this notice as the website or event arrangements change. The date shown above identifies the latest published revision.
