Cookies and similar technologies can store information on your device. This website uses local storage to remember your external-media preference. This website does not install advertising or analytics tracking. External video services are optional and are blocked until you allow them.
Essential preferences and administration
The local-storage entry altitude_consent_v1 records your external-media choice, preference version and the time it was saved. It is used only to remember and apply your choices. The website treats the choice as expired after 180 days, blocks optional media and asks again. It checks expiry when the page loads, while it remains open and when you return to the tab. The stored entry may remain on your device until it is replaced or cleared; it is not treated as continuing permission after that period. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.
WordPress may use essential session and security cookies when an authorised user signs in to administer the website. These are separate from optional external-media permission. Enquiry security rate limits are held on the server rather than in visitor cookies. Video playback, mute and volume settings in the current page are held in page memory; the theme does not create an additional persistent playback cookie.
External media
The event films currently use YouTube. If you allow external media, loading or playing a selected film connects to Google/YouTube. Those services may receive your IP address, browser information and viewing activity, and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced player where available; this does not remove all data processing.

Our hosted background film
The bundled Altitude background film is delivered by this website and can play without optional external-media permission. If the background is changed to an external provider, it remains blocked until permission is given.
Fonts, icons and social links
The website serves its fonts and footer social icons locally. They do not require a connection to a font service or social network. Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube links open those external websites only when you follow them; they are not embedded social feeds.
Making and changing a choice
Accept optional enables external media. Reject optional leaves it disabled. Settings lets you review the category before saving. Essential preference storage remains available so the website can remember either choice. Rejecting optional media does not prevent browsing or sending an enquiry.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to withdraw permission. The website removes active optional players and blocks future loads. Withdrawal cannot undo information already sent to an external service or delete cookies that service previously stored; you can manage those through your browser or the provider.
